Awhile ago, I wrote about Carla Bruni – wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy. For some reason, it became one of the most-read posts I’ve ever, um… posted.
Well, here’s an update to look for her new album – Comme si de rien n’était (As if Nothing Happened) – on July 21 of this year. It’s making news today because of her description of Sarkozy as “her junk” (referring to drugs) and mention of her 30 lovers (which falls just short of Wilt Chamberlain’s 30,000).
The biggest news in this story, to me, is that fact that the two apparently met through a blind date. I can’t imagine the answers her friend gave her when Carla was asking “Well, what can you tell me about him?”
“He’s REALLY good looking.”
“He’s pretty busy, so I don’t know how committed he’ll be…”
“He’s not as famous as Mick Jagger or Eric Clapton… yet.”
