Apple recently announced that they have now sold over 5 billion songs through iTunes.
They also have over 8 million songs in their library.
One of my favorite features of iTunes is that they tell you how many days worth of music you have. For example, I have over 54 days worth of music in my iTunes right now. In other words, if I listened to my whole collection, it would take me that long before I’d be finished.
People enjoy the hypothetical question “what would you do if you had one million dollars?” For the last year or so, my answer has been “I’d take a road trip that lasted long enough for me to listen to my iPod, on random, until I’ve heard every song once.”
I wonder how long I’d have to travel to listen to 5 billion songs?
